Neil Cowley is set to release his new album The Making of Mount Molehill on Naim Jazz Record on January 23 in the UK (January 24th in the States). Judging from this new video of the recording process he dropped on us by Simon Whitehead, it sounds like something to look forward to.

Last week, I finally uploaded some music from Neil Cowley's latest album Radio Silence. The band has also released a pretty hilarious behind the scenes video of the recording session as well as a video of the recording of one of the songs on the album. There's also a separate 13 minute documentary that was made for the recording of the album. Check 'em all out. Totally worth it.
UPDATE: The first video is a segment of the last video. Check one or the other depending on how much time you have. ;)

Neil Cowley's last release came out in April 2010, meaning it took us a whole year to talk about it... Sorry Neil! I got the album from him during his visit to last summer's Montreal Jazz Festival. That was a pretty hectic period for Nextbop, so it sort of got pushed aside to the point where it ended up completely slipping my mind. Oups... When I finally remembered that we had never mentioned it on the site, I realized that I no longer had the CD in my possession and it took me forever to get it back. Long story.
