Robert Glasper and Esperanza Spalding on Late Night TV

Last night was a pretty big night for jazz and late night television (unless you count the fact that the Saturday Night Live Band has always been a jazz band). Both the Robert Glasper Experiment and Esperanza Spalding were musical guests for late night talk shows-- Glasper & Co. on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Spalding on The Late Show with David Letterman. When the realization dawned on jazz Twitter yesterday, it created a bit of a Sophie's choice in what to watch considering both shows air at the same time. Fortunately, the videos of last night's performances are right here.

First up, the RGE performed "Gonna Be Alright" featuring Ledisi. Also, I kinda want that Black Radio t-shirt Glasper's rocking. (h/t The Audio Perv)

Next is Esperanza Spalding who certainly went big with her performance of "Radio Song".

Both Black Radio and Radio Music Society are available everywhere now. Cop them post haste. Besides, when year-end lists start cropping up, you don't want to have missed this moment.
