Jazz musician, DJ and producer Mark de Clive-Lowe never ceases to amaze, constantly pushing the envelope with new and groundbreaking projects. His latest endeavour, #bluenoteremixed vol.1, is a testament to what the famed label means to MdCL. Armed with a crateful of Blue Note vinyls, a drum machine, sample pads, rhodes and keyboards de Clive-Lowe produced, improvised and recorded this 40 minute live-remix mixtape on the fly in one take. The set also features guest cameos from rappers Bambu, John Robinson and Illa J, singer Nia Andrews, bass master Pino Palladino and rare collaborations with infamously elusive saxophonist Nomad Pendergrass. You can stream the project below which is also available as a free download on Bandcamp.
